About Us

EBS became a full member of Asia Theological Association (ATA) in January 1988. It has enjoyed a good relationship with ATA and World Evangelical Alliance (formerly WEF) Theological Commission when it was under the leadership of Dr. Bong Rin Ro from South Korea and Dr. Ken Gnanakan from India.

EBS is a leading member of Myanmar Theological Association (MTA ), a net working of 25 Bible Colleges and Seminaries. EBS is also a member of Myanmar Evangelical Christian Fellowship (MECF) since 1994.

One of the most important factors is that EBS is a registered trust with the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of Myanmar under the auspices of indigenous evangelical association called Myanmar Biblical Christian Fellowship (MBCF) where its founder cum president is a graduate of EBS.

EBS was chosen as a Centre for offering the Doctor of Ministry by distance learning by the  Asia Pacific Seminary (APS) located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia . APS is in collaboration with Millennium International University, Delaware, USA. This D,Min. programme is recognized and endorsed by the Lutheran Church in Malaysia and Singapore.

EBS had so far produced 284 graduates with B.Th. or M.Div. degree in 17 Graduation Convocations. 90% of our graduates are in the full time Christian service. EBS has been known as the best disciplined Bible school in Yangon. EBS has the honour of conferring seven outstanding men of God from ASEAN countries with the highest honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity.

21 years of good testimony have proved that truly God is with EBS and is still leading it into further and deeper steps. This is an amazing act of God's grace and special blessing. It is true that the kingdom of God has endured and multiplied through various kinds of hardships and experiences in the history of Christianity. As much as possible, EBS keeps its profile low and humbly trying to walk in the narrow path and a more righteous way.

EBS graduates spread into many different denominations and organizations, and 90% of them are working in the full time Christian ministry. Moreover, EBS graduates have planted over 60 new churches across Myanmar in the last ten years.  Both faculty and students won and led 4,153 people to Jesus Christ during their summer evangelistic ministry.
